The Education Show Visitor FAQs
1. Who can attend?
It is a trade event open to all levels of educators – Teacher trainers and practitioners right through to Governors, School Business Managers and Head teachers.
2. How can I register for the show?
Our full registration is open at least 2 months before the start of the show. Prior to this, you may register your interest in attending the show which will mean you are notified once full registration for the show opens. For our registration page, click here.
3. How can I register a group?
To register a group of 10 or more for the show, please contact email@example.com for a group registration form. Once this is completed, please email it back. It is important that all information is correctly completed to enable us to complete the registration process for each visitor.
Please note, Group registrations are for ages 17+. Any Student from the age of 16 and below, please reference point 12. Can I bring Children?
4. I am a student, am I able to attend the show?
Students of Undergraduate level and above (individuals and groups) on relevant courses of study are welcome to attend on the last day of the show but will not be permitted to trade. Students will be asked to show an NUS identity card or equivalent student identity. All students will be required to register for the event via the normal registration process.
5. Is the show free to attend?
Entry is free to all trade visitors who register online (or those looking to start a new business in the next 12 months).
6. Can I register when on arrival to the show?
Yes, you may register upon arrival at the show free of charge however in order to save yourself time, we recommend registering in advance here
7. When will I receive my Entry badge?
You can print your e-badge at the end of registration or from the confirmation email once registration is complete. If you are unable to print your badge, don’t worry – just show us this confirmation email on your mobile device when you arrive at the show.
8. Is my show registration, date specific?
Registration for the show is not date specific. Once you have registered and have printed your e-badge you are able to attend the show on any of the show open days and as many times as you wish.
9. Where does my visitor entry ticket/entry badge allow me access to?
Your e-badge/ticket allows you access to the whole show unless stated otherwise. For example, if your entry badge states ‘Press’ you will have access to the show Press Lounge.
10. What if I have forgotten my entry ticket/badge when I arrive at the show?
Registration staff at the main registration desks will be able to find you by company name/surname on our data base to print your entry badge. If you can, please provide proof of company name via business card or confirmation email etc.
11. Can I bring children?
We advise that children under 16 do not attend the event as this is a trade only event and there are no children/crèche facilities within the venue. Children attending the event must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
Upon arrival at the show, a Child entry pass will be required for all those under the age of 16. This is to be collected from the registration desks in the main entrance. Anyone over the age of 16 will be required to register for the event via the normal registration process.

3. Where do I park?
Standard parking is available in our North, South, East and West Car Parks, with regular shuttle buses to take you from these car parks to the halls. Just follow the signs when you arrive, and pay by cash or card, if required, at the nearest kiosk. 5. Is there free WIFI at the venue?
Yes, free WIFI is available throughout all the Show Hall at The NEC Birmingham. To connect, select ‘NEC Free WiFi’, and fill in the information form on your browser page.
6. What time does the show open?
Show opening times are as follows:
Thursday 15th March: 09:00 – 17:00
Friday 16th March: 09:00 – 17:00
Saturday 17th March: 09:00 – 16:00
7. Is there a cloakroom?
Yes, there are cloakrooms available in the main piazza at all show entrances. Prices start at £1.00 per item. Items are left at your own risk. Large cases accepted within reason.
8. How do I find my way around the show once I have arrived?
On arrival to the show, show guides with floor plans will be available to collect at the entrance.
9. Is there a cash point?
Full banking facilities are available at the Natwest Bank located in the Piazza outside Hall 4. Cash points are located adjacent to Hall 1.
10. Are there disabled facilities at the venue?

Seminars and features information
1. How many seminars are there?
The Education Show hosts learning sessions for all types of educators, from classroom practitioners to senior leadership teams. Some of our sessions offer free CPD accredited training with practical and engaging content. Bring your whole school for a day and choose from over 120 sessions presented by fellow practitioners and industry experts to share best practice.
2. Are seminars free to attend?
Yes, seminars are free to attend.
3. Are seminars ticketed?
No, our seminars are run on a first come, first served basis. All we advise is to arrive at the seminar with plenty of time before the start time to avoid disappointment.
- Do I need a visa?

- I require an invitation letter to assist with my VISA application. How do I apply?
Unfortunately, we cannot issue personal/individual letters of invitation for visa purposes. Once you have registered via the show website you will receive a confirmation email which may be sufficient for visa application.
