Zakon Training

Zakon Training was started by practitioners with decades of work within law enforcement.

We have used that experience and knowledge to create workshops that bring science and the law to life for primary and secondary aged children, and a teambuilding day with a difference for teachers and other adult groups.

  • Employment Interviewing
We have trained police officers and others to interview victims, witnesses and suspects in all manner of serious crime. The basic skills involved are the same for any interview scenario where the aim is to obtain information from an interviewee, test their knowledge and expose discrepancies. We can teach these skills to you and show you how to conduct an effective interview, helping you ensure you recruit the right person for the job.
  • Catch the Killer Teambuilding Day
Ideal for INSET days, we test your team working, problem solving and logic skills, and our teambuilding day starts with a murder that you investigate in a typical whodunnit fashion, but then moves on to the courtroom where you have to prove your case in front of a jury of your peers.
  • Police, Forensic and Court Training
We take the pupils from the crime scene to the courtroom, starting with crime scene forensic science, and working through the judicial system. The  day culminates in the setting up of a mock courtroom where the children get the opportunity to experience various roles, including giving evidence from the witness box.  Whilst supporting Citizenship Studies, the  interactive and practical structure of the learning promotes team building, confidence and presentation skills in a non-threatening and safe learning environment.
  • Investigation Skills for Schoolchildren
Our highly interactive day really brings science to life in the classroom, using forensics as a vehicle. The children get to take DNA samples and fingerprints from each other, and to practice search techniques, with the day culminating in the examination of a mock crime scene. Our day is designed for children from ages 6-11, although we are able to adapt this for older or younger children if required.
