Seminars - Using Google Earth and Google maps in the Classroom
Seminar Details Google Earth has the potential to transform the teaching of ‘place’ and ‘space’ within our schools but many teachers are still unaware of how to use it to complement the curriculum. This presentation will demonstrate ideas for using Google Earth in your classroom. It will include ideas for lesson starters and more extended activities that could be used in both the primary and secondary context. In particular the seminar will look at how Google Earth could be used to support cross-curricular project work. No previous experience of Google Earth is required and the seminar will be complimented with a comprehensive on-line handout.
