NEW for 2010 Reading Central

Putting books and reading at the centre of the curriculum

At the heart of today’s teaching is the aim of developing literacy – and so it goes with Reading Central, located at the heart of this year’s Education Show.

The Education Show prides itself on championing and providing a focus for the wide choice of high quality learning resources available for teachers and learners. Books remain the key resource to support teaching and learning and over 1/3 of our visitors have a purchasing interest in books.

We’ve addressed this by creating READING CENTRAL, with a simple aim of giving visitors a central point to meet publishers and to source, compare and purchase the leading reading material for children and young people.

Publishers already signed up include:

 A & C Black    Kingscourt/ McGraw Hill
 Axis Education   Learning Materials
 Badger Publishing  Letterland International
 Cambridge University Press   Listening Books
 Child's Play   Mantra Lingua
 Classical Comics   Prim-ed Publishing
 Collins Education   Rising Stars
 Compass Books   Scholastic
 Evans Publishing Group   Storysack
 Gatehouse Books   Sunshine Books
 Hachette Children's Books   Tamarind Books
 Heinemann Library/
 Raintree/ Capstone
 The Literacy Club
Jolly Learning   Usborne Books for Schools

We are delighted that the World Book Day Team and www.readingzone.com will be manning the Publishing Information Stand located within the area.

The Education Show links up with World Book Day on 4 March and we will be organising events celebrating books and reading in the UK. Why not spend World Book Day at The Education Show this year?
