NEW for 2010 - Innovation Alley

The Education Show believes that innovation drives the industry forward. This is why NEW for 2010 we are bringing entrepreneurs of the education world to the Education Show, to give you genuinely new ideas and resources to take back to your school and your classroom and share with your colleagues and pupils.

Here is a preview of some of exhibitors already confirmed:

Brooker Morgan Education Brooker Morgan Education provide an education programme for young people, to give them information and insight about the realities of life for young offenders inside a Young Offenders Institute.The presentation; called 'Locked Up, Locked In,Locked Out' comprises a 'full size' Prison Cell. a Power Point presentation, plus Teacher and student resources.Vist stand Q70C for more information.

Good morning children Good morning children create a wide variety of short, mentally stimulating activities for children aged from just under five, to just over eleven years. Every week, they upload a selection of these resources – one for every school day. They ensure that every resource is suitably challenging for gifted children. They set a theme, often linked to current national or international events and celebrations all of which is appropriate with educational objectives.  Visit stand Q70E for more information. 
   
Letter Roads   Letter/Number Roads by Happy Pegs was born in 2002 when a 3 year old boy decided that learning the alphabet was more fun when you turn letters into roads.  The educational mats help 3 to 5 year olds to recognise their letters and numbers by tracing and playing on the road-shaped letters with cars.  Find out more at stand Q70H.
     
Asian-e   Asian-e is a company specialising in the development of innovative educational products.  Visit stand Q70F to learn about how the ‘Every Child Matters’ theme follows fun characters Aku and Kamu; designed to blend creativity and innovation in making learning more fun for children.
       
Student Coaching  

Student Coaching Ltd (stand Q70K) provides transformational teaching and learning programmes that empower students to become sophisticated and responsible learners.

Their coherent, holistic approach impacts on all areas of the curriculum and is accessible to all students through programmes such as Learning for Life (secondary), Fast Forward (secondary) and Language for Learning (primary).

     
The Literacy Club   

The Literacy Club (stand 70G) is the UK's only publisher of printed magazines dedicated to primary literacy.  Visit the stand to take away your free copy of their magazines, which include 'TLC Teacher' and 'TLC Kids' and are packed with ready-to-use resources such as texts, lesson plans and creative ideas.

The company’s innovative approach to primary literacy publishing involves producing inspirational resources that teachers, pupils and parents can enjoy and which provide for a creative, cross-curricular approach to literacy teaching and learning.

       
TSL Enterprises  

The game of Numenko was invented by TSL Enterprises’ owner as a maths-aid for his daughter.  The board game is played in crossword fashion using numbered tiles make sums; your score being the answer to the sum.

Numenko-in-a-bag was developed for the owner’s grand children.  A table top version of Numenko, each player makes sums independently of other players.  Players take their tiles from a common pot and the winner is the first player to use all their tiles.

Do Be   This Scotland-based company (stand Q70J) works with classroom teachers and others involved in education to create new products and fresh approaches to learning, teaching and professional development.  In the 21st century this means turning increasingly to technology and more specifically to the internet for inspiration, interaction and innovation.
